M62 Wrecker
This was an unusual model for me and was built as a one off especially for a fellow collector.
The base vehicle is an Honest John rocket launcher, and the crane is from a French Dinky Berliet breakdown truck. The Berliet is one of the models I need for my own collection and I had to take apart a good one, provided by my friend, to build the new model!
The turntable base fitted fairly easily after some machining, and the jib assembly needed careful disassembly before the repaint. I added a tow hook and provided two crew in US overalls.
My collegue also ended up with a Berliet Rocket Launcher as well! I' not sure whether it is an authentic vehicle but it looks real enough.
