Daimler SOD
This is a "Daimler S.O.D." This stands for "Sawn Off Daimler", a field modification to make very capable scout or command car out of a damaged Armoured car by removing its turret.
I have found only one original photograph of a SOD in use, so maybe it was not a common mod. I have based this conversion on that photo.
First I removed the turret and opened the top of the casting out to the bearing ring. Then removed the front wings, although this is fiddly process! The master for the internal casting (with integral driver) was made to slip in the hull and be held in pace by the baseplate. The spring units were copied from the rear suspension of the French Dinky half track and are affixed inboard of the front wheels.
It does make an interesting if unusual model, and of course is another use for a damaged example the plentiful Dinky Daimler armoured car
